ECPR Celebrates 20 Years of Business in Austin
Elizabeth Christian Public Relations (ECPR) announced today the celebration of the company’s 20th Anniversary in Austin. To commemorate this milestone, the agency unveiled a special logo that notes its 20-year history.
“What started 20 years ago with one person has since blossomed to a company of multi-talented PR professionals,” Elizabeth Christian, president and chief executive officer of Elizabeth Christian Public Relations, said. “This really is a special year for our agency as we celebrate a long history of serving causes and organizations in Austin that matter to the community.”
Before founding the agency in 1995, Christian moved from Austin to Los Angeles to pursue a career in journalism. While living in California, Christian built her career working at the Los Angeles Times and later running her own newspaper in Northern California.
In 1994, Christian moved back to Austin to pursue a career in public service. She managed Bruce Todd’s second mayoral campaign and shortly after the two wed in Austin. After running a successful political campaign, Christian decided to start her own business, merging her experience in both journalism and public service to provide public relations services to Central Texas businesses.
Since 1995, the agency has successfully handled a wide range of projects from legislative and grassroots initiatives to business development and crisis communications. Last year, the agency expanded to included video and digital services. ECPR is now one of the largest public relations firms in Central Texas, and has won numerous awards from public relations and community organizations. These award wins are reflective of the agency’s growing client base and Austin’s increasing demand for public relations services.
