Notable projects include writing and producing the video series that led St. David’s HealthCare to achieve the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, sharing the important message of legal aid services for the Texas Access to Justice Foundation, powerful testimonial videos for Texas Mutual and documenting innovative events Google hosts around the state.
With a decade of experience in television news—seven of those years in the Austin market—Bellacosa’s expertise includes developing compelling storylines, gathering information, writing to the ear and ensuring that people feel comfortable on camera. Bellacosa shares this expertise and participates in ECPR’s media training services, preparing clients for opportunities to be interviewed by the news media.
Bellacosa’s TV news career includes time at KTBC-TV/FOX 7, where Bellacosa launched the latest hour of Good Day Austin in 2010 and was part of the anchor team until 2014. Prior to her role as a news anchor, she worked as a live field reporter from 2007 to 2010.
Bellacosa started her news career in Tyler, Texas, at KYTX-TV/CBS 19, where she anchored CBS This Morning.
Invested in her community, Bellacosa volunteers with the Junior League of Austin, where she serves on the Board of Directors. She is also part of a team spearheading an $18-million capital campaign. For the last four years, Bellacosa held a leadership position on JLA’s $1-million annual fundraiser, A Christmas Affair. Some of Bellacosa’s favorite community fundraisers include St. David’s Foundation Toast of the Town; and Mack, Jack, McConaughey. You’ll find her as the M.C. at many events throughout the year.
Bellacosa holds a Bachelor in Journalism degree, with a concentration in broadcast news, from The University of Texas at Austin.
