Science degree in public relations from the University of Texas
at Austin, where she majored in communication and minored in government.
After graduating in May 2007, Simmons joined Elizabeth Christian
& Associates as an intern. She was promoted to intern associate
for the firm in December, 2007, and then an account associate in
February, 2008. Simmons works closely with such clients as the Texas

Simmons handles a variety of tasks including media relations, researching,

She learned the many facets of the Texas Legislature through this
first experience that included duties such as providing rationale
for voting to the representative through compiling details based
on constituent coverage and outcome research, organizing talking
points and witness briefings for committee hearings, as well as
writing bill analysis for proposed legislation.
