Meg Meo is a marketing/public relations professional with almost
30 years of experience in related fields. At Elizabeth Christian
& Associates, Meo plans and executes public relations and marketing
programs for a variety of clients, including Time Warner Cable,
Harden Healthcare and Supportkids, among others. Recent clients
include the Texas Cable & Telecommunications Association, Cox Communications,
the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts and Phoenix House, one
of the nation's leading drug abuse education and rehabilitation
organizations. Responsibilities include nationwide publicity campaigns,
marketing and strategic planning, media relations, advertising,
event planning and legislative communications.
Meo worked for 13 years at the Los Angeles Times, including
10 years in various management-level marketing and strategic planning
positions. Her experience at the Times ranged from supervising
the development of advertising sales materials, with a staff of
30, to a four-year stint as market planning manager.
As market planning manager, she developed and managed a research-based
strategic planning function for the company, with a staff consisting
of five senior-level research managers and analysts. The division
developed and presented recommendations to senior management concerning
strategic initiatives. She also prepared and presented monthly economic
reports to the Chairman of the Board of the Times' parent
company.
Meo was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and graduated from the
University of Texas at Austin before moving to Los Angeles in 1978.
While in Los Angeles, she completed the executive program in the
Graduate School of Management at UCLA. She returned to Austin in
1994 and has worked with Elizabeth Christian since 1995.
