Rebecca
Hind, a San Antonio native, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in
mass communication from Texas State University, where she majored
in public relations and minored in popular culture.
After graduating summa cum laude in December, 2005, Hind joined
Elizabeth Christian & Associates in February, 2006, as an intern
associate. In the span of 15 months, she was promoted to account
associate and then account executive for the firm, working closely
with such clients as DMX, Pyramid Properties, Exelon Nuclear, the
Texas Gaming Association, the National Domestic Violence Hotline,
Conservatory Senior Residences, Victoria Gardens Healthcare, Asista
Healthcare and the Texas Council on Family Violence.
Hind handles a variety of tasks including researching, strategic
planning, creative communication, task management and event promotion.
She has a firm grasp on the tenants of grammar and has an affinity
for editing and proofreading. Proficiency in the Spanish language
is another asset Hind brings to the ECPR team.
Recently, she planned and executed the print and radio advertising
arm of a campaign for Pyramid Properties. She has also spearheaded
community outreach efforts for several clients, including Victoria
Gardens Healthcare. Hind was instrumental in garnering public support
on behalf of Victoria Gardens for a series of need-based waivers,
designated and appropriated by the state of Texas, to build skilled
nursing facilities in underserved areas of Central Texas.
Prior to graduation, Hind spearheaded an awareness campaign for
the Texas State University Honor Code. As first-time participants
in the Public Relations Student Society of America's annual Bateman
competition, her team placed second nationally with its "Illuminating
Integrity" campaign. Early in 2006, Hind entered the campaign in
the Texas Public Relations Association's Silver Spur competition,
where it won the Silver Spur for Internal Communications, thus becoming
the first-ever student entry to win a Silver Spur Award.
