As an account associate you will work on several accounts at once. It is important to be well organized with the ability to multi-task, as you will juggle deadlines for a variety of clients.
Responsibilities include tracking and reporting media coverage; conducting research based on client needs; writing press releases, media advisories and other press materials; compiling media lists for different markets and pitching to a variety of media outlets. You will be responsible for tracking large quantities of client media coverage and developing media reports to meet regular deadlines. Additionally, you will coordinate on-site media opportunities, serving as the liaison between clients and media contacts.
Other projects will need to be completed in response to client needs.
Candidate should have strong writing, verbal and computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint; writing and editing in Associated Press style; as well as the ability to be professional in person, in writing and over the phone are required. Demonstrated proficiency with Google Analytics and social media campaigns a plus. Candidate should be a self-initiator who is also a team player. Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field required. Preferred candidates will have internship experience or prior work experience in the field of public relations.
Starting yearly salary is $32,500. Benefits include life, medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401(k), profit sharing, and more. In addition, flextime, as well as one work-from-home day per week, are permitted after two years of employment with ECPR. Relocation assistance is not available.
