St. Gabriel’s Catholic School

OVERVIEW

ECPR began working with St. Gabriel’s Catholic School, a prestigious independent private school in West Austin, in 2016. The school retained ECPR to help raise its visibility in the community and to ultimately increase enrollment. We began the relationship by undertaking a comprehensive audit of all the school’s current internal and external communications materials, both print and digital. Throughout the year, we assist with both internal and external communication, including media outreach, website development, messaging for prospective parents and social media campaigns.

CASE STUDY

Following the audit, ECPR developed a detailed plan to improve internal communication with parents—focused on retention—and to expand the school’s visibility in the community, particularly among parents of school-age children in geographical areas typically represented by the student body.

Major efforts have included media outreach, media training, fine-tuning messaging, a targeted direct mail campaign, booking speaking engagements, enhancement of digital programs (website and social media), and seeking out appropriate awards opportunities.

Feedback from current parents about improvements to internal communication has been positive. Stories about the school have run in many local media outlets, including the Austin American-Statesman, Austin Business Journal, Spectrum News, Tribeza, Westlake Picayune, Community Impact, and Austin Family, among others.
